City takes services to Tafelsig, Athlone and Hout Bay

The City of Cape Town’s Corporate Services Directorate is bringing its basket of services offering to the Thusong Centre in Tafesig on Wednesday 24 April 2024 and the City’s Mobile Office team will visit Athlone and Hout Bay this Thursday and Friday respectively.
The details of the visit are as follows:
• Wednesday, 24 April 2024, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Thusong Centre/Nelson Mandela Youth Centre, 2 Pyrenees Street, Tafelsig
• Thursday, 25 April 2024, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Dulcie September Civic Centre, Cnr Protea and Eland Streets, Athlone
• Friday, 26 April 2024, from 09:30 to 13:30 at Hangberg Multipurpose Centre, Karbonkel Road, Hout Bay Harbour
The departments that will be present at Thusong Centre in Tafelsig are:
• Human Resources: for enquiries about bursaries, internships and apprenticeships
• Social Development: to find out how you can get involved
• Finance: for all enquiries about municipal accounts
• Health: for more about primary health care services
• Safety and Security: for information about traffic and law enforcement services
• EPWP: will assist jobseekers and unemployed youth to register on the jobseekers database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities
For Athlone and Hout Bay, the City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically. Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries. To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.
‘Taking the City’s services to the communities of Tafelsig, Athlone and Hout Bay is the City’s way of showing that we are actually committed to bringing services to residents and to make local government more accessible to all. Those who will be visiting us at these venues on the specified days must please remember to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to help ease the process,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
